Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Good food for the price. Nice location and friendly staff."
"Really good food, love the staff they are so kind, big portions, really good service and they are really professional! Good ambiance and decoration"
"Three CBs brewed on the premises are available: Blonde 5% (4.5 CHF for 25cl, 8 CHF for 50cl), Blanche 5.5% (5.5 CHF for 25cl, 9 CHF for 50cl), and Ambrée 6% (5 CHF for 25cl, 10 CHF for 50cl). Indoor seating is pleasant, but the outdoor seating in the open square, which overlooks park fountains and offers views of Mt. Saleve, is exceptionally comfortable. The staff is friendly."
"Menu a little limited for vegetarians, food was ok. Excellent friendly service, great location. Really came for the beer which was pretty good, they were out of the blanche and other selections were limited. The ambree was quite interesting with a hint of brett."
"Stopped by to see the new replacement for BDT. Nice to see it is also a micro brewery. Large selection of beers, the Unfiltered Blonde was very delicious. Very cozy terrasse with quick service. Burgers were delicious (but buns were too crunchy for me)! Would definitely come back to try the focaccia! Very nice deals on takeout!"
"Pizza was amazing, servers great. Lots of indoor/outdoor space. Semi-casual"
"Good food but there changing the menu soon. Their beer is quite good no matter what you choose. Live entertainment on a lot of nights."
"Brasserie des Tours Carouge is located in the ground unit of a large 13-story concrete building. It is an Italian pizzeria and restaurant, and also has a decent-sized house brewery. Their name is in large yellow letters on the side of the building, and in front is a concrete patio area with string lights overhead. There is limited street parking nearby, but public transit train is convenient to get here from downtown. Immediately upon entering you’ll see the front wooden bar which has only a few chairs, which overlooks their efficient pizza oven and kitchen. It is a full service Italian restaurant and the food seems popular. The staff is gracious and welcoming, and seems more impressive than most other places in this area. Along the front windows and on both sides of the restaurant are plenty of dining tables. The floor and ceiling are textured concrete and the place has red trim evoking a modern style. To the left of bar are the tops of their 2 stainless steel brewing vessels. These tall vessels extend down to the basement area and have a small platform for the brewer to work. The fermenters are not visible but are most likely in the basement. Behind the brewhouse is a foosball table and eclectic background music is playing. They have 4 house beers on tap, which are available by glass, sampler taster, or growler to go. Honestly I thought they had some of the best quality house brews in this area. I loved it!"
